FoundationsStudents learn grade level appropriate elements of music including melody, rhythm, harmony, form, texture, and tone color.

CreateStudents create original music and movement through individual and group assignments through singing, speaking, dancing, and playing instruments.

RespondStudents demonstrate their listening skills, music vocabulary, and interpretation through describing, writing, or moving to a piece of music.

Perform
Students demonstrate their learning through active participation in daily learning engagements as well as a Music Share assembly each year.

Orff SchulwerkA methodology for teaching and learning general music, Orff Schulwerk focuses on the elements of Sing, Say, Dance, and Play. A child-centered form of learning, the Schulwerk aspires to provide a natural music making and learning experience for all children.

KodalyAnother methodology in music education that focuses on a child-centered, sequenced curriculum with a focus on singing, movement, literacy, and world folk music.
